When is the formal Professional and Executive APD process?
The formal APD process for professional and executive staff is conducted between September and February.
- 4 September 2023: APD process commences in Workday.
- 22 December 2023: Self-evaluation is due for all staff in Workday.
- 29 February 2024: APD Conversations completed and Manager evaluation due. APD process closes.
Who is included in the Professional and Executive APD cohorts?
The Professional process applies to Professional Staff (HEW 1 - 10 noting that HEW 10 staff at Management Level 3 or 4 will be included in the Executive Process as outlined below).
The Executive process applies to Management Levels 1 - 4 (e.g. Heads of School and above, Institute Deputy Directors and above).
Professional and Executive staff set goals and reflect against the following goal categories:
- Delivery
- Citizenship and Leadership
- Development (not rated)
What is required for the Professional / Executive APD process?
3. Mid Year
At around the mid year mark, a mid-year check-in is encouraged to review progress against goals and development areas.
This is an informal process and provides opportunity to update and add goals or record progress via Workday. For further information, please view the online course, APD Mid-Year Check-In.
