Information, services and support for UQ staff
Ready to Teach Week (Monday 10 to Friday 14 February) is here! Check out the diverse program of activities designed to help staff prepare course materials for Semester 1. Sessions include ‘Working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students’, ‘Seamless Learning: Integrating Library Resources into your Course’, and ‘Workshop: Update on AI advances + innovative AI examples from UQ academics’. Next week, you can also get involved in Ready to Tutor Week, which runs from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 February.
All staff have access to a range of training courses. This week, we are highlighting the ‘Understanding and Managing Psychosocial Risk for Supervisors and Managers’ course. It covers topics such as identifying and addressing psychosocial hazards and leadership practices that contribute to a mentally healthy workplace. Supervisors and managers can take this course at any time on Workday.
Teaching@UQ is a program for UQ staff with teaching responsibilities to develop knowledge and practical skills for a successful teaching career. Tutors, casual academics and teaching staff, research-focused staff, and PhD candidates are all invited to register. Participants may also earn a Teaching Foundations Certificate and Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Registrations close Friday 21 February.
