Coronavirus advice for the UQ community
Staff are encouraged to book their COVID-19 booster to help reduce severe illness and hospitalisation. Bookings are now open at St Lucia and Brisbane South UQ Health Care clinics.
Come together with the UQ community for Sustainability Week from 15–19 August. Enjoy markets, workshops, DIY projects, film screenings, forums, plantings, bird watching, competitions and more to inspire you to live more sustainably. Whether you’re on campus or online, you’ll find events to suit you. We can’t wait to see you there!
To help meet the demand of our most popular workshop, Workplace Diversity and Inclusion is looking to increase the pool of trainers who can facilitate the Ally Workshop. As such, we are inviting experienced facilitators and/or members of the LGBTQIA+ communities to participate in a two-part training session (1.5 days), aimed at equipping UQ staff and postgraduate students with the skills necessary to confidently host this workshop.
Starting 8 August, UQ will be working with our partners Active & Thriving to launch Mentally Healthy People, a four-week program designed to help you learn about mental health stigma, warning signs, triggers, and ways we can support ourselves and those around us when going through difficult times.
