The University of Queensland (UQ) participated in the annual Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) for 2018, hosted by Pride in Diversity.

This index sets the benchmark for LGBTIQA+ workplace inclusion nationally and provides our Diversity and Inclusion team and HR with valuable feedback on how we are tracking, what we are doing well and areas in which we can improve.

About the AWEI survey

The Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) survey was open to all employees and closed on 9 March 2018.

The AWEI is considered the definitive national benchmark on LGBTIQA+ workplace inclusion and encompasses the country's largest and only national employee survey designed to gauge the overall impact of inclusion initiatives within organisations. The index drives Australia's best practices in LGBTIQA+ initiatives and sets a comparative benchmark for Australian employers across all sectors.
