UQ participates in the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), which sets the benchmark for LGBTIQA+ workplace inclusion across Australia.

Each year we encourage UQ staff to participate in the AWEI survey and provide feedback on UQ's initiatives on LGBTIQA+ inclusion.

The Australian Workplace Equality Index  (AWEI) is considered the definitive national benchmark on LGBTIQA+ workplace inclusion, and encompasses the country's largest and only national employee survey designed to gauge the overall impact of inclusion initiatives within organisations.

The index drives Australia's best practices in LGBTIQA+ initiatives and sets a comparative benchmark for Australian employers across all sectors.
