UQ participates in the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), which sets the benchmark for LGBTIQA+ workplace inclusion across Australia.

Each year we encourage UQ staff to participate in the AWEI survey and provide feedback on UQ's initiatives on LGBTIQA+ inclusion.

The Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) survey is open to all employees, regardless of how they personally identify. This includes members of the LGBTIAQ+ community and straight, cis-gendered allies.

Why your participation matters

We appreciate and promote diversity and mutual respect as a pillar of UQ values. We want to learn from your experiences and feedback, so we highly encourage all staff to participate in this survey.

Your participation will help us develop a deeper understanding of LGBTIAQ+ inclusion at UQ, and assist with UQ's annual AWEI submission.

The index provides our Diversity and Inclusion team and HR with valuable feedback on how we are tracking, what we are doing well and areas in which we can improve.

Confidentiality

The survey is conducted by Pride in Diversity. Demographic data is collated, but no personally identifying information is collected. The survey provides the opportunity to enter free-form comments. This is the only time staff can manually enter identifying information.

To ensure complete anonymity, we request that you refrain from entering any information that could personally identify you or anyone else. You may also choose not to answer questions by exiting the survey at any time by closing the browser. If you exit before completion, no responses will be saved.
