Annual review

  • By mid June 2019: applicant sends application to Head of organisational unit and has annual review meeting.
  • 28 June 2019: Head must send Form C to the local HR Professional Services team by this date.

Enhanced appraisals

The enhanced appraisal occurs in year 2 of a 3-year probation period.

The applicant must complete the required documentation outlined in Probation and Confirmation of Continuing Appointment (Academic Staff) Procedures [5.41.05].

HABSCAP mid-term reviews

Follow the process outlined in the Probation and Confirmation of Continuing Academic Appointment (Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences) [5.41.06].

Final reviews for continuing appointment

Applicants on both 3-year and 5-year probation must complete the required documentation outlined in Probation and Confirmation of Continuing Appointment (Academic Staff) Procedures [5.41.05] in preparation for their final review. Final Reviews for Level E academics are reviewed by the Professorial Confirmation and Promotions Committee bi-annually. Academic Level E staff will be advised by the HR Director of submission dates in the third year of their probation.

Special Studies Program

  • Mid-April 2019: send application to Head of organisational unit for review and comment.
  • 3 May 2019: submissions close, send to HR Professional Services team.

Promotions

Level B

  • Send application to the Head of your organisational unit 1 month before submission.
  • Applicant must submit via UQ Jobs using the application link relevant to them listed on academic promotion up to Level D.
  • No submission closing date applies, but you must complete within 6 weeks of beginning an application.
