To some degree, we’ve won over our current students already. They’ve chosen us as their university – it’s now up to us to encourage a genuine connection, and grow their loyalty.

Try not to think in marketing language – it’s about giving students the information they need then getting out of the way. That said, we shouldn’t lose any warmth. Our tone carries over from the one we use for future students – conversational, easy to read and, above all, welcoming.

  • Demonstrate our commitment to inclusivity by celebrating people of different needs, experiences and interesting backgrounds.
  • Less chest beating, more succinct communication. With this audience in particular, it’s about genuine, to-the-point messages that make our reader the hero.

Financial support

If you’ll be getting a HECS-HELP or SA-HELP loan, don’t forget to give us your Tax File Number. If you still need to get one, you can apply through the Australian Taxation Office (it’s best to do this as soon as possible). If you’d like more information about this, the government’s Study Assist website is the best place to head next.
