UQ’s centrally owned teaching spaces are equipped with rechargeable docked wireless radio microphones for increased accessibility in these spaces.

Some spaces at UQ are equipped with receivers but not with wireless microphones. In these cases, you are required to bring your own microphone and tune it to the channel and frequency used in the room.

Identifying space channels and frequencies

To identify the required channel and frequency for your space, find your campus or site, building and room in the table below.

If the channel is listed as 'Mics docked in room' then there will be microphones in the space waiting for you.

If the channel is listed as “00.4207” or similar the room will be equipped with a Sony receiver, which will require to you bring your own Sony wireless microphone. If you're using the Sony UTX-B2K42 wireless lapel microphone, follow the Sony UTX-B2K42 microphone user guide for instructions on how to set the channel.

Note: Some spaces commonly used for events have both the Shure Docked Microphones as well as Sony receivers in place allowing you to supplement the docked microphones. These spaces will have listing in the table for each supported channel and frequency.
