Program Planner V2 Beta released

The beta version of Program Planner Version 2 (V2) allows students to prepare a study plan leveraging program requirements codified in Jac, the curriculum management system. Students can plan courses for their program and ensures their plan meets the program's completion rules and chosen structure (majors, minors, etc.). Developed by the Curriculum End to End Program (CEEP) team, Program Planner supports the evolution and delivery of curriculum and will continue to mature throughout 2021 as the team investigate progression and graduation checking capabilities.

Program Planner V2 Beta enables choices between valid structures within a given program e.g. combinations of majors, minors or fields of study, and selections of courses in semesters when they are likely to be offered. The engine also provides feedback on whether all the completion requirements will be met with the proposed plan. Version 1 of Program Planner required extensive manual configuration and was only available for 6 programs. Version 2 extends to 151 programs and is automated based on the publication of requirements from Jac.

The CEEP team look forward to sharing further updates regarding Program Planner v2 throughout the year. For more information, visit the CEEP Engagement Hub.
