Here's what you can and can't submit under the 'Electrical' problem type in ARCHIBUS.

If the issue is life threatening, call Security immediately on 3365 3333.

If the issue is urgent or there are exposed wires, call PF Assist on 3365 2222 during business hours or Security on 3365 1234 after hours.

Includes

This problem type includes:

  • Clocks in centrally controlled rooms, such as lecture theatres and tutorial rooms
  • Electrical evacuation signage
  • Electrical outage
  • Power points and outlets (include a description)
  • Switchboards.

Service requests for electrical appliances or equipment are a user-funded request. Where possible, include the brand and model number of the dishwasher, fridge, microwave, etc.

Information required

When logging a service request, please provide the following information:

  • Description of fault.
  • Does job require a 2-metre, 4-metre or higher ladder?
  • Is the room occupied?
  • Description of lamp type or power outlet.
  • Are any alarms sounding/flashing?
  • Can electrical technicians gain access?
  • If the location is a lecture theatre, include when it is available (time and date).
