Prevent Zoombombing

12 May 2020

The UQ community plays an essential part in protecting the integrity of Zoom meetings and teaching sessions.  All staff are reminded that while you can share the links in Blackboard for teaching purposes, you must not share Zoom meeting links in public forums, such as social media.

Please also consider the following tips and recommended meeting settings to protect Zoom meetings:

  • Disabling screen sharing for everyone except the host and co-host.
  • Where only UQ participants are required, restrict access to authenticated users
  • Using the waiting room feature until the host commences the meeting.

We recommend you view the security settings for using Zoom in teaching situations, and always keep your version of Zoom up-to-date to ensure the latest security updates are installed.
