Changes to the web process

As part of the One UQ Web Roadmap Program, we'll be making changes to our website procedures. We've put together resources to support you with this change.

Check how to request a new website to learn more about what you need to do first.

As a part of our web roadmap, many UQ websites are being consolidated into key central websites.

Central sites are organised around topics, rather than organisational structure. A topic-based approach ensures our websites are:

  • user-centred – making it easier for users to find the information they need
  • not affected by changes to organisational structure.

All central websites must comply with best practice guidelines for web accessibility, content and usability.

Current staff

The Current staff site is the first port of call for all UQ staff. The aim is to bring together core online information UQ staff may need to do their jobs effectively.

Updating and maintaining content

The Marketing and Communication Web Channel team has oversight over all central sites to ensure:

  • content meets best-practice standards
  • user journeys across UQ websites are consistent, cohesive and free of duplication.

Content on these sites may be edited or published by other organisational areas.

Contact the Marketing and Communication Web team if you have questions about:

  • content updates or additions on central sites
  • the most appropriate location for content
  • access to central sites.

Current staff and COO sites

Organisational units within the COO portfolio update content on the Current staff and COO sites.

All editors and publishers should follow the dedicated guidance for these sites.
