Microsoft Sway is an application for making engaging online presentations and documents. Microsoft Sway is part of the Microsoft 365 suite.

Sway allows you to:

  • compile text, images, videos, and other content into interactive online presentations, stories, and reports (called 'Sways')
  • combine content from other Microsoft 365 and third-party applications into a Sway
  • search and insert related content from public sources
  • share with a select audience.

Use UQ's branded assets for creating presentations or reports when representing the University and follow the brand guidelines (staff login required).

Availability

Microsoft Sway is available to all UQ staff members. It is currently not available to students.

Share Sways

By default, your Sway is not visible to anyone unless you share it. You can choose to share your Sway with select staff members or open it up to any staff member who has access to the Sway link.

Staff cannot currently share sways with students or people from outside of UQ.

Access Microsoft Sway

Access Microsoft Sway via:

  • going to my.uq.edu.au > my.UQ Dashboard > Office 365 > Sway
Log in as you would log in to your UQ email and Office 365, by authenticating with your UQ username and password.
