Here's what you can and can't submit under the 'Fire services' problem type in ARCHIBUS.

If the issue is life threatening, call Security immediately on 3365 3333.

If the issue is urgent or there is immediate threat to property, call PF Assist on 3365 2222 during business hours or Security on 3365 1234 after hours.


This problem type includes:

Evacuation system:

  • Evacuation drawings and plans
  • Evacuation signage (non-electrical)
  • Fault sounding
  • Not serviced
  • Speaker fault
  • WIP fault.

Fire alarm activations.

Fire blankets:

  • missing or used
  • not serviced
  • out-of-date
  • required.

Fire doors:

  • choked open
  • damaged
  • not held open
  • not opening/closing
  • not serviced.

Fire extinguishers:

  • missing or discharged
  • need re-hanging
  • not serviced
  • out-of-date
  • type re-assess.

Fire panel:

  • detector faults
  • fault sounding
  • not serviced.


This problem type does not include:

  • Electrical evacuation signage. Select Electrical.

Information required

  • barcode/asset number for fire extinguishers and fire doors, if available.
