Access control (ServiceFM problem type)
Here's what you can and can't submit under the 'Access control' problem type in ARCHIBUS.
Includes
This problem type includes:
Faults with access cards or control:
- Electronic card/door readers
- Electronic cards.
LED light not responding (red / green)
Door not secure – security issue
Reader affecting an auto-door
Access control system issues
Excludes
This problem type does not include:
- Ordering new blank cards. Select Access cards/levels and time schedules.
- Updating alarm contacts. Select Security system custodian applications.
Information required
When logging a service request, please provide the following information:
Is it a problem with the card?
What is happening with the card reader:
- What colour does the light turn after swiping?
- Is there a light at all?
- Is there a clicking sound in the lock after a card swipe?
What is happening to the door:
- Is it locking when it shouldn't be, or vice versa?
- Is there a break glass button nearby and, if so, has it been activated?
What is happening to the automatic door:
- Is it wide open?
- Is it not opening?
- Does it seem like a mechanical problem (e.g. stuck or jammed halfway)?
- Is there a key override switch? If so, what position is it in?
- Is the push-to-exit button working?
- Is the break-glass button working?
What is happening with the SiPass client software (e.g. is there an error message when logging on, etc.)?
Time scheduling changes or faults:
- What is the reader and room number of the door?
