UQ has updated its Data Handling Procedure.
This procedure sets requirements and provides guidance for managing UQ information securely and ethically (and in line with relevant legislation regarding privacy and records). The latest version is now available online.
This procedure will help you manage information appropriately from collection through to archiving and disposal. It provides information regarding:
- privacy impact assessments
- data sovereignty
- the importance of using UQ-approved IT services
- capturing or collecting information
- how to keep information secure
- data sharing
- data retention and disposal.
Sign up to the data governance and management essentials training for more practical tips on how to manage UQ information securely and effectively. This training is run quarterly, but bespoke sessions can be offered on request.
