Transgender Day of Visibility

28 March 2018

UQ is proud to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV), held 31 March each year, and show our support for the trans community.

What is Transgender Day of Visibility?

TDOV is an international day of significance that is held annually on the 31 March. It aims to raise awareness about transgender people and their experiences, and is a day to celebrate the achievements of transgender people, but also to recognise the discrimination and transphobia that they can experience.

This year’s theme is “surviving, thriving” (#TransThriving). The theme recognises the achievements of the trans community in the last 12 months.

How can I get involved?
