I'm pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2024 UQ Awards for Excellence. These annual awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions our colleagues make to UQ and the broader community.
Every year, there are thousands of achievements worth celebrating across UQ. I’m always amazed by the high quality of nominations, which showcase the talent and dedication of individuals and teams across the University.
Nominations are open from today until 5pm on Friday 14 June.
You can choose to nominate an individual or team across 7 award categories:
- Community
- Innovation
- Service
- Reconciliation
- Diversity and inclusion
- Mental and physical health, safety and wellness
- Leadership
Nominating your colleagues for an award is a fantastic way to acknowledge and raise awareness of their work within the wider community. All UQ employees are eligible for the awards, including professional and academic staff (continuing, fixed-term and casual). We will be announcing the winners at a special ceremony in November.
I’d encourage you to nominate a colleague, or team of colleagues, who you think are worthy of wider recognition.
