It’s ‘Queensland Summer’ time
We’re getting into the spirit of ‘Queensland Summer’ at this year’s UQ Thanks You events.
This end-of-year celebration is our way of saying thank you for the achievements of our teams, and of having some fun to wrap up another busy year.
It’s also an excellent opportunity for you to meet people from different areas of UQ in a relaxed setting.
Please come along with your colleagues to an afternoon of complimentary food, beverages and live entertainment.
Who’s invited?
The celebratory events are open to all UQ staff – continuing, fixed-term, and casual.
Staff, including casual staff, scheduled to work during the Thanks You events can include their attendance on their timesheets and will be paid.
UQ Thanks You events are for staff only. Please register using your UQ email address.
What to wear?
The events are held outdoors in a picnic-style setting, so please be prepared for it to be warm. To go with this year’s ‘Queensland Summer’ theme, we’re encouraging you to wear your shadiest sun hat and something bright, cool and tropical. There will be a prize at each location for the ‘most summery’ shirt or hat.
