The ITS intranet team is continuously reviewing the UQ org unit intranet site template based on user feedback, best practice UX & accessibility guidelines and available enhancements released from Microsoft.

 

Every org unit intranet starts with a starter site. Since developing the starter site, we have created version 1 and version 2. The current Starter Site version is version 2 and you can view the site here (request for access if you have not previously been granted permission).

 

We have created Starter Site V2 incorporating feedback from the UQ user community that include new features. We may include new features in the future, but we endeavour to release them in a batch to allow for a smooth transition and time for training. If you have an older version of the starter site and would like to adopt the new features into your site, the site coordinators will need to manually add these features. Please see below for the relevant training material.

If you've previously completed the Org Unit Intranet training and require a refresher training, you can find the training demo videos in the "Intranet - Org unit" Teams channel. These videos are the same videos shown during the training completed in Workday. In addition, you can return to the Workday training courses and access the sections you require:

 

Note: if your org unit has version 1 sites (sandbox site and/or production site), the training material in Workday covers both version 1 and 2 sites. It is best to chat to the Intranet Management team, intranet@uq.edu.au, if you have questions after reviewing the above information.
