UQ Staff Intranet overview
The new UQ Staff Intranet is coming soon
The new UQ Staff Intranet will launch on Tuesday 10 February 2026. This is an important milestone in UQ’s strategic vision to simplify our digital environment, elevate how we work, reduce risk, and strengthen our technology foundations.
Designed for today’s workplace, the Staff Intranet provides quick access to staff information, personalised search, and helps you stay connected across UQ in a secure, modern environment.
Changes and improvements
Content from the Current Staff website (staff.uq.edu.au) has been migrated to the new Staff Intranet.
This includes information and services provided by central organisational units including Human Resources; Finance; Information Technology Services; and Health, Safety and Wellness and others. The Staff Intranet also has the latest staff news, updates and events.
Staff will no longer use external search engines to find staff content. Instead, you will be able to use the search bar on the Staff Intranet pages. The Staff Intranet is part of UQ’s Microsoft 365 platform, making it easier to access information and more secure for users. This integration enables you to search across the Staff Intranet, SharePoint files, Teams folders, and messages you have access to, giving you a personalised search experience.
Transition period
To make the change smoother, the Current Staff website will remain available for 3 weeks after the Staff Intranet launch – until Tuesday 3 March 2026.
This 3-week transition period allows you the opportunity to explore the new Staff Intranet at your own pace without losing access to the Current Staff website.
