UQ Staff Intranet overview
A new intranet is coming soon
Launching in October, the new UQ staff intranet will be a central, secure platform for all UQ staff to access key resources, news and information.
The new intranet will replace the Current staff website, and contain the same information about services and support for UQ staff, including IT services, property and facilities, HR and finance forms and information, legal and marketing and communication support.
It has been built using Microsoft SharePoint to enhance security, access and integration with other Microsoft products available to UQ staff, such as Copilot, Teams, Search and MyHub.
How the change will happen
After the intranet is launched, the Current Staff site will remain live for 3 months to allow staff to update any links and bookmarks to the intranet.
The Current Staff website will be decommissioned in January 2026.
Searching for information on the new intranet
The intranet will be secured behind your UQ staff login. You will not be able to search using Google or any other external search engine.

UQ staff intranet vs org unit intranets
The UQ staff intranet is for content that is relevant to all staff.
Org unit intranets should be used for information specific to your org unit only. Do not duplicate all-staff information (e.g. flexible work arrangements) on your org unit intranet.
Intranet governance
The UQ staff intranet is broadly governed and managed by ITS and Marketing and Communication.
Additionally, some sections have their own sponsor with at least one site coordinator responsible for coordinating and accuracy of content within that section.
