Air conditioning (ServiceFM problem type)
Here's what you can and can't submit under the 'Air conditioning' problem type in ARCHIBUS.

This problem type includes:
- Air conditioning too hot or too cold
- Air conditioning faults
- Air conditioning timers
- Air vents
- Toilet exhaust fans
- Chiller faults (air conditioning)
- Heaters
- Johnson control alarms
- Building management systems
- Air conditioning leaks (is it causing damage?)
- Air conditioning making unusual sound.
- Possible dust issue
Excludes
This problem type does not include:
- Cold rooms or freezer rooms. Select Refrigeration.
- Defrosting fridges. Select Refrigeration. This is a user-funded request.
- Degassing fridges. Select Refrigeration. This is a user-funded request.
- Ice machines. Select Refrigeration. This is a user-funded request.
- Fume cupboards. Select Scientific equipment.
- Mould in unit. Select Mould.
Information required
When logging a service request, please provide the following information:
- Is it a safety hazard?
- What locations are affected (specific rooms, levels and building)?
- What is the area used for (e.g. animals, experiments or personal comfort)?
- How long has it not been working?
- Is the unit turned on?
- Can you turn the unit off?
- Is it causing damage?
- Is it a safety hazard?
- Is there airflow in the room?
Air vent dust issues
P&F conducts scheduled maintenance on air vents, registers and grills, but occasionally extra cleaning of dust build-up may be needed.
Attach a photo to the service request of the affected area.

Air conditioning not working
The usual start time for air conditioning is between 6am and 8am. The usual finish time is between 5pm and 7pm.
Outside these hours, you may need to press the after-hours switch to activate your air conditioning.
