UQ’s password management portal has been upgraded to enable staff and students to easily and securely recover their UQ account password online without contacting IT support. You can enable online password recovery at any time by providing some personal security information, including contact details and security questions and answers, in the my.UQ dashboard under My profile.
Online password recovery provides greater convenience while enhancing security, working with services such as UQ Authenticate and multi-factor authentication (MFA) to protect your UQ account and the University’s information assets and IT systems.
All staff will soon be required to enable online password recovery. Information Technology Services (ITS) will email staff individually advising them they need to complete this process, but you don’t need to wait for ITS to contact you; you can enable online password recovery as soon as you like.
