Reminder: UQ's teaching awards

Expressions of interest (EOIs) for the 2025 UQ Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Learning are open until 12pm on Tuesday 6 May. Individuals and teams are encouraged to apply for these awards, which recognise and celebrate excellent teaching.

Study for Staff: applications closing soon

Study for Staff applications for UQ’s Graduate Certificate in Business Administration in Semester 2, 2025, are closing on Thursday 24 April. The Study for Staff program offers staff a significant fee subsidy on a select range of UQ graduate certificates to help support your growth and career development. Applications for all other graduate certificates close on Friday 23 May.

Great Court Race nominations open

Be part of history and compete in the 40th anniversary of the Great Court Race. Nominations for all races, including the Mixed Staff Relay, are now open. Heats will take place on Tuesday 6 May, with the finals being held on Wednesday 21 May. Nominations close on Thursday 1 May – gather a team of 4 keen colleagues and race to take home the trophy.

IDAHOBIT Annual Great Rainbow Bake Off

On Monday 12 May in the Great at St Lucia, the UQ Ally Network is hosting its annual IDAHOBIT Great Rainbow Bake Off to raise funds for the LGBTQIA+ Bursary. This bursary is offered yearly to a UQ student who is a part of the LGBTQIA+ and queer community and is experiencing financial hardship. Register your cake or baked treats for a chance to win a prize.
