Information, services and support for UQ staff
Nominations are now open for the UQ Ally Award. The UQ Ally Award celebrates a staff member who has worked to create and promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for people of diverse sexes, genders and sexualities at the University. The award is presented by the UQ Ally Network, which has, since 2024, worked to create positive change on campus.
Congratulations to UQP author Siang Lu, who has won the Miles Franklin Literary Award for ‘Ghost Cities’, his bold and satirical reimagining of Australian storytelling. This prestigious award recognises a novel of 'the highest literary merit' that presents 'Australian life in any of its phases.' Alongside the prestigious win, Siang will receive $60,000 in prize money.
UQ Open Day is an opportunity for current and potential students, along with their families, to explore their study options and immerse themselves in university life. On Sunday 3 August at St Lucia and Sunday 17 August at Gatton, UQ staff are encouraged to get involved and connect with other staff members and future students.
