UQ has updated its Information Governance and Management Framework and Information Management Policy with the latest versions now available online:
Information Governance and Management Framework
The framework provides a consistent approach to information governance and management at UQ. It defines key roles, authorities, and structures to ensure UQ’s information is governed and managed effectively.
Key changes in the latest update include:
- streamlining the framework to improve readability (from 34 to 16 pages)
- reviewing and updating the decision rights model and key roles and responsibilities
- adding roles and responsibilities for key teams
- removing ‘governance controls’ (which will be covered by IT compliance mapping activities).
Information Management Policy
The policy outlines key principles and requirements for the governance and management of information at UQ.
Key changes in the latest update include:
- updating definitions of data, information and record to provide more clarity for staff
- adding more references to records management
- aligning roles and responsibilities to the framework
- including references to key legislation and data ethics.
