Scheduled network upgrade – Sunday 13 December

ITS will be upgrading the UQ network between 9am and 5pm on Sunday 13 December. A number of IT services may be briefly unavailable during the upgrade.  Any outages are expected to be no longer than 5 minutes at any one time.

Staff, students and researchers accessing UQ services on 13 December

If you are using the UQ network and services remotely or at a campus on Sunday 13 December, you may experience a disruption to UQ services including: 

  • Internet and network services
  • Wireless connectivity
  • UQ applications and data 
  • Videoconferencing services such as Zoom
  • Telephone call-handling and voice messages
  • Contacting UQ Security via emergency call points, duress alarms in freezers and accessible toilets and emergency phones in lifts
  • EFTPOS 
  • Printing

On campus safety

If you need to contact UQ Security during the brief period while an emergency call point, phone or duress alarm is not working, please call the external numbers below from a mobile phone:
