Camsia Mulholland is a proud Taepadhighi and Malu Kiwai woman from Far North Queensland, born on Thursday Island. Cam lived on Thursday and Horn Island in the Torres Strait  moving to Tresco Island in the Isles of Scilly, United Kingdom, before returning to Australia.

Cam worked as a Project Officer in Cape York while completing a Bachelor of Business Management at Queensland University of Technology. Following the completion of her degree, Cam arrived at UQ via our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Professional Entry Pathways (PEP) Program after taking some time to enjoy motherhood.

Cam expressed "It's hard stepping back into the workforce after being a stay at home mum but I had a really good experience with UQ’s recruitment process. UQ’s Indigenous Employment Team is very thorough and genuine and the Pathway Program really helped me transition back into working life".

Cam commenced as a Communication Assistant at UQ Press with aspirations to build a career at UQ. Shortly after commencing, Cam was headhunted to UQ’s Poche Centre as the Administrative Assistant to Professor James Ward and Operations Manager, Jamie Hagan. She is thrilled to have an opportunity to support the Poche Team in their strategic goals to become the industry leader in Urban Indigenous Health.

One day Cam hopes to transition the skills she learns at UQ to pursue a career in Human Resources.
