Legal Services organises legal capability training for UQ staff.

These sessions are intended to assist UQ staff to understand the legislative framework in which UQ operates, including:

  • existing State and Commonwealth legislation
  • new legislation which may impact UQ
  • the UQ delegations framework
  • other legal issues and principles.

Legal Services runs regular training sessions, which cover topics such as:

  • unfair dismissal and adverse action
  • intellectual property
  • copyright issues
  • legal professional privilege
  • employment law
  • conflict of interest.

Sessions are delivered by experts in the relevant field, from UQ Legal Services or external law firms.
