2021 Enterprise Agreement Negotiations

The Enterprise Agreement is due to expire on 30 June 2021 but will remain in effect until it is terminated or replaced by a new enterprise agreement.

The University will soon commence negotiations for a new enterprise agreement.

The Deputy Provost and Chief HR Officer advised staff covered by the Enterprise Agreement via email on Thursday 27th May 2021 of their right to appoint a bargaining representative during the course of bargaining.

The Notice of Representation Rights can be found here and a hard copy will also be available from your Faculty or Institute Human Resources team.

Participating In Enterprise Bargaining

Employees have the right to represent themselves or nominate a bargaining representative to participate in the negotiations on their behalf.

If you are a member of a union, your union will automatically represent you in enterprise bargaining.

At UQ, the unions who are party to the negotiations are the:

A number of staff members have also nominated to participate in the negotiations as individual bargaining representatives.

You can participate in the enterprise bargaining process by:

  • making comments, asking questions and providing feedback to ebfeedback@uq.edu.au
  • reading staff updates during the bargaining process 
  • providing feedback directly to your union or appointing an enterprise bargaining representative
  • voting on the draft Agreement.
