10,000 Steps activity challenge

UQ is hosting a 'Time-out Tournament', where teams register on the 10,000 Steps website and collectively log as many steps as they can during the period of the tournament. Compete against other teams over a 6-week period and see which team can take the most steps while advocating and promoting healthy behaviours.

The tournament starts 1 October so sign up on the 10,000 Steps website. Then you can either:

  • email uqwellness@uq.edu.au with your email address and 10,000 Steps member email address to be allocated to a team
  • form your own team of 7 people and pick a team captain. Your team captain can then send your team's email addresses and 10,000 Steps member email addresses to uqwellness@uq.edu.au

All you need to participate is something to record your steps, such as a phone or pedometer.

For more information, read the 10,000 Steps activity challenge guide (PDF, 798KB) or contact UQ Wellness.
