Autodoors (ServiceFM problem type)

Here's what you can and can't submit under the 'Autodoors' problem type in ARCHIBUS.

Includes

This problem type includes all electronic self-opening or closing doors that are:

• Not opening
• Closing on people
• Squeaking (describe the sound)
• Shuddering when opening or closing
• Automatic door closers.

Excludes

This problem type does not include:

• Lift doors. Select Lifts.
• Self-closing non-electronic doors. Select Carpentry internal.

Information required

When logging a service request, please provide the following information:

Is it an automatic sliding door or an automatic swing door?

Can you pull the door open? If you can, this suggests an electrical problem and not an access problem. Tell us whether you tried and what happened.

Is the key override switch in the 'Auto' position? This switch is generally located on the inside of the door to the left- or right-hand side. The door won’t function if the key override switch is in the 'Lock' position. If the door is in the 'Lock' position and there isn't a key in it, contact your Key Custodian for help. If it’s in the 'Auto' position and the door isn’t working, submit a service request.
