Here's what you can and can't submit under the 'Access cards/levels and time schedules' problem type in ARCHIBUS.

  • Time scheduling on doors and cards
  • Audit trails

  • Resetting passwords on SiPass Client
  • Access level changes.

Access card issues

Before you submit a service request for access control problems, work out if the problem is caused by the card reader or the UQ ID card.

Do you have the correct level of access?

Contact the Card Custodian. If you are not sure who your Card Custodian is, contact PF Assist or the Security Technical Office.

Is the ID card damaged?

If yes, then you may need to replace the ID card.

Are you holding (badging) the ID card against the reader correctly?

Hold the ID card in front of the card reader and wait. If you store your ID card in a wallet, take it out when presenting it at a reader.

Does your card work on other card readers?

If yes, then the card reader may be at fault. Select Access control and submit a service request. Include the card reader number.

Are other people having issues with the same card reader?

If yes, then the card reader may be at fault. Select Access control and submit a service request. Include the card reader number.
